The VII International Meeting of Casa das Ciências took place from 20 to 22 July 2022 at ISEP – Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto, bringing together educators to address the scientific and societal challenges of climate change and sustainability.
Climate and Sustainability in Focus
The event explored key questions on predicting the impact of human activity on climate and assessing the sustainability of current societal models. Discussions emphasised the need for scientifically grounded public debate, particularly in the face of widespread misinformation.
Supporting Teachers with Scientific Knowledge
Casa das Ciências aims to equip teachers with robust, multidisciplinary knowledge, enabling them to foster informed discussion and critical thinking in educational settings.
