LIACC Announces New Coordinating Board for the 2026–2028 Term

The LIACC – Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science Laboratory has officially announced its new Coordinating Board for the 2026–2028 term, reinforcing its commitment to scientific excellence, technological innovation, and the advancement of responsible Artificial Intelligence in Portugal.

This newly appointed board brings together distinguished researchers from leading Portuguese higher education institutions, further consolidating LIACC’s position as a prominent research unit in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science.


Coordinating Board (2026–2028)

The Coordinating Board for the upcoming term is composed of:

  • Luís Paulo Reis (Director – Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto)
  • Henrique Lopes Cardoso (Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto)
  • Mário Florido (Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto – FCUP)
  • Eliana Silva (Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto)
  • José Luís Reis (University of Maia – UMAIA)
